Extract from the Foreword (Preface) to Part A.
The ministry of Truth For Today began in 1948, not only with the publication of a Bible study leaflet, but also with a Bible study class in the home of Oscar and Mae Baker. The radio ministry began the same year.

As O.M. Baker has repeatedly written over the years in "THE EDITOR'S DESK" section of the paper, the purpose and goals have been clearly stated. Let the Bible speak for itself. It will if we will let it do so. Find what God has said to and for us today without using the Bible as a proof-text for private interpretations.

The foremost purpose of this ministry has been to enlighten all men as to what is the dispensation of the mystery, and to rightly divide the Word of truth on the basis that the Scriptures are God-breathed; that all the Bible is the Word of God, according to 2 Timothy 3:15.

The message has always been first and foremost to propagate the good news of the dispensation of the mystery, and its hope of the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the super-heavenlies, with His church which is His body, and of which, along with the powers in the heavenlies. He is the Head.

We believe the ministry of Truth For Today has enjoyed the blessing and approval of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
